YOUR ROLE
As Warehouse Manager at Melbourne Cleaning Supplies, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, leading a small team while remaining hands-on across receiving, order processing, dispatch, stock management and transport activities.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining strong safety, service and operational standards, ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently and accurately while meeting agreed customer and business KPIs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, supervise and develop the Warehouse Team, managing performance, training, leave and day-to-day workload.
- Oversee receiving, picking, dispatch, stock control, cycle counts and stocktakes, ensuring high levels of accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with OH&S, Chain of Responsibility, Dangerous Goods and HACCP requirements.
- Manage warehouse costs including labour, freight, maintenance and materials handling equipment.
- Monitor daily warehouse reports, investigate stock variances and address operational or quality issues.
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping, equipment, bin locations and overall site organisation.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Inventory and external freight providers to maintain strong service levels.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and distribution operations.
ABOUT YOU
You’re an experienced warehouse professional who is comfortable leading a team while also getting involved in the daily operation when required.
You’ll bring strong people management, organisation and problem-solving skills, with a clear focus on safety, accuracy, productivity and customer service. You’ll be confident managing competing priorities in a busy warehouse environment and maintaining high standards across both people and process.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager, Supervisor or similar warehouse leadership position.
- Proven experience leading and motivating a warehouse team.
- Current forklift licence and strong materials handling equipment experience.
- Sound knowledge of warehouse receiving, picking, dispatch and stock control processes.
- Understanding of OH&S, Chain of Responsibility and Dangerous Goods requirements.
- HACCP knowledge or experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication, numerical and organisational skills.
- Intermediate computer skills including WMS and Microsoft Office applications.
- Warehousing or Supply Chain qualifications will be highly regarded.
