YOUR ROLE
Seeking an experienced, results-driven National Transport & Network Operations Manager to lead the strategic direction and drive operational performance, focused on improving customer service levels and leading the ANZ transport network.
This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
Working closely with the General Manager of Operations and Regional Operations Managers, you will ensure efficient, seamless service delivery across the network. You will identify and implement cost optimisation and service level improvement initiatives while maintaining full compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
You will lead both tactical and long-term initiatives to enhance service outcomes, with a strong focus on improving Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT) performance. You will also strengthen inventory management practices, including managing at-risk and obsolete stock.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead national transport strategy and execution across ANZ
- Partner with regional operational leaders to optimise network performance and service delivery
- Drive cost efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Improve DIFOT and overall customer experience
- Oversee inventory performance and mitigate slow/obsolete stock risk
ABOUT YOU
A strategic and commercially astute leader with strong operational expertise, to make a significant impact on network performance and customer satisfaction leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Key requirements:
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to operate within the limits of agreed budgets, deadlines and targets
- Experience in multisite operations management, ideally, within wholesale distribution, FMCG industry
- Deep understanding of Australian and New Zealand transport regulations, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR legislation.
- Experienced in warehouse and logistics management within a multi-site high-volume environment with a track record of leading cultural change and innovation
- Experience with IT lead warehouse management systems including advanced warehouse modules
