YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a Field Service Technician / Field Testing Officer to join our Townsville based Field Inspection team. Full training is provided.
In this mobile role, you will inspect, test, and certify lifting, rigging, and height safety equipment, working both on customer sites and in our workshop. You’ll operate with a high degree of independence, supported by experienced leaders and a collaborative technical team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting and testing lifting, rigging, and height safety equipment (site and workshop)
- Manufacturing and testing chain slings and wire ropes
- Completing and issuing compliance documentation to NATA and ISO standards
- Attending customer sites, including mine sites (paid travel, overtime, and allowances)
- Assisting with production and warehouse activities when required
ABOUT YOU
You are practical, mechanically minded, and comfortable working in industrial environments. You take pride in doing things properly, following procedures, and producing accurate work.
Ideally, you will bring experience in production, manufacturing, maintenance, or equipment servicing. Exposure to lifting, rigging, or height safety is highly regarded.
You will also have:
- Relevant rigging qualifications or a strong willingness to obtain them
- Sound understanding of WHS and compliance requirements
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to travel and work outside standard hours when required
- A reliable, team focused approach with the ability to work independently
