YOUR ROLE
As the State Manager at Bunzl, you will lead the operations of two branches, including a retail store, aligning with strategic plans at both regional and national levels. In this hands-on role, you'll be across daily operations of both sites, with a focus on sales growth. You will have full P&L responsibility for each site and focusing on strategic implementation and achievement of operational and safety KPIs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day operations and ensuring each branch, including the retail store, meets Bunzl's standards for service and efficiency.
- Developing and maintaining an environment that prioritizes safety and compliance with all company policies.
- Cultivating relationships with key customers and managing retail and wholesale transactions to enhance growth and profitability.
- Implementing effective systems to ensure both branches deliver excellent service that aligns with our customer expectations.
- Leading and inspiring a team across both locations to excel in customer service and meet sales targets.
- Create and implement strategies for in store promotions, store layout, and advertising locally to ensure sales growth is achieved.
ABOUT YOU
As a prospective State Manager at Bunzl, you bring management experience in industrial or wholesale retail environments, along with a background in business or a related field. You are characterised by your:
- Extensive retail management experience, particularly in industrial or wholesale settings, with a warehouse attached.
- Ability to oversee multiple branches, managing comprehensive retail and wholesale operations.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of developing effective teams and fostering a culture of safety, sales growth and efficiency.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, capable of securing and expanding customer engagement.
- A keen eye for operational details and the flexibility to adapt to dynamic market conditions.
