YOUR ROLE
The General Manager - Sales is a sales leadership role designed to lead the State Managers and branches, through support and accountability, in driving continual profitable growth, achieving budgeted sales, margin and PBIT, whilst supporting and executing operations functions and sector strategic plans, via branches and branch sales teams in collaboration with the Sector and Operations General Managers.
As a member of the Executive Leadership team, the role entails direct accountability for the achievement of the sales, margin and PBIT objectives of all Australian branches and their major customers, with a key focus on driving pipeline, Gains & Losses, CPP, margin management, SLOB, driving growth in EB Sales and executing Great Place to Work initiatives. You will provide leadership and consultative advice to the State Managers & Sales teams by holding these teams accountable for performance (KPI’s), whilst working with Human Resources Business Partners and the Branch team in leading ongoing sales capability improvement with account managers.
ABOUT YOU
This role will call upon your passion to deliver excellence and your ability to maintain multi-tiered relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to be a strategic thinker and an impactful people leader. You are an independent self-starter and a strong team leader. You possess excellent organisational, coaching and time management skills, as well as hands on management experience with the ability to operate and communicate effectively with varied stakeholder groups.
You’ve already fine-tuned your relationship-building and negotiation skills from previous management roles and experience within the Healthcare, Process & Industry, Hospitality and Facilities Management, or similar industries. Always searching for ways to challenge the status quo, you have the ability to think strategically and be able to execute at a regional/operational/branch level.
