YOUR ROLE

The purpose of this role is to support the integrity of Obex’s supply chain systems and processes, ensuring inventory, purchasing, supplier data and reporting activity are accurate, timely and aligned to business needs.

Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, Product Managers, Warehouse, Finance and wider Obex teams, you will help maintain the right stock levels, support demand planning activity and contribute to supply chain improvements that help Obex deliver better clinical outcomes for New Zealand patients.

Part of your day-to-day will involve:

  • Providing inventory analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
  • Preparing monthly supply chain and inventory reports.
  • Raising purchase orders to maintain optimum inventory levels.
  • Liaising with suppliers on pricing, quantities, ETAs and discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate product, supplier and inventory data.
  • Supporting demand planning, min/max reviews and stock replenishment.
  • Assisting with aged stock, inventory days, DIFOT and stock accuracy targets.
  • Working with Warehouse and Product teams to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Supporting cost-efficient inventory plans and freight outcomes.
  • Contributing to process improvement projects across supply chain operations.

 

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Supply Chain Specialist with a minimum of two years’ experience in supply chain or inventory‑focused roles. This position is ideal for an analytical professional who thrives on delivering accurate inventory analysis, managing purchase orders, and collaborating closely with suppliers to support demand planning and service performance. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with strong Microsoft Office and CRM skills, capable of prioritising multiple tasks while working autonomously. A solid understanding of inventory management principles and a passion for continuous improvement, integrity, resilience, and customer focus are essential to succeed in this role.

The other essentials we are looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a supply chain or inventory focused role
  • Strong analytical and numerical capability with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven experience delivering accurate inventory analysis and reporting
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including CRM usage
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated and autonomous, with a proactive, solutions focused mindset
  • Hands on experience with purchase orders, supplier liaison, and demand planning
  • Solid understanding of inventory management principles (min/max, Long Leadtime purchasing, SIFOT, DIFOT, aged stock management)
  • Experience contributing to projects or process improvements
  • Strong alignment to values led behaviour’s: integrity, resilience, customer focus, and continuous improvement
