YOUR ROLE

As a Field Service Technician at PowerVac, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of our specialised equipment across Western Australia. You will work directly with customers to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, ensuring that equipment is back up and running efficiently. Your ability to follow structured processes, accurately document service activities, and manage your workload effectively will be key to success in this role. Working both independently and as part of the service team, you will play a critical role in maintaining PowerVac’s reputation for reliability and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults across a range of PowerVac products.
  • Ensuring all service-related documentation is completed accurately, including job sheets, preventative maintenance reports, and warranty claims.
  • Managing parts inventory, placing orders, and verifying stock to support efficient repairs.
  • Prioritising and scheduling service jobs to meet KPIs, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
  • Maintaining a professional standard in customer interactions, providing clear service recommendations and technical support.

 

ABOUT YOU

You are a technically skilled and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. You take a structured and analytical approach to fault diagnosis and problem-solving, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in your work. You’re comfortable working independently in the field while also contributing to a team environment. With strong customer service skills, you can confidently communicate technical information and provide clear recommendations.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience in servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • A methodical and analytical approach to diagnosing faults and completing repairs.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and service records.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritising jobs based on urgency and customer needs.
  • A commitment to workplace safety, following procedures and industry regulations.
